Achilles HB-LX - Need More Info

Looking to upgrade my current dink, a West Marine Compact Rib 310. Lads and Lassies getting too numerous for dink. Need more room. Lots of talk in forum about AB's and Caribe's but little about Achilles. Interested in the HB-LX line as they are lighter. Anyone like or dislike them?

The look good i too am looking ,i couldn't find a weight . i am also looking at the walker bay Genisis light 3.1 but would consider this if the weight was same.

Can't comment on that model but like the Achilles brand in general. They seem to have a good reputation for quality.

I have a 15 year old Achilles that came with my current boat that is in overall very good condition (except for the wood floors that were left out and wet a little too often but I don't consider that a fault of the brand).

Used to work for a boat dealer that sold Achilles and everyone liked them, including the repair department because they saw very few of them.

Same thing the repair guy at the local dealer here in Portland said about their Achilles. He rarely sees them in the shop.

They also sell Apex and claim the Hypalon on Achilles is of better quality. I also noted that Achilles tape their seems on inside and outside. AB's are only taped on inside.
