Rig Rite Contact info?

Does anyone know how to get in touch with Rig Rite? The phone number on the website keeps saying disconnected when I call, which by the way is a pain in the a$$ from here (Iraq) I need a new outhaul car for mt Catalina 27 to fit a 1/2 inch bolt rope slot in the boom. Catalina Direct is no longer carrying it and I cant get in touch with Rig Rite. I have new sails waiting at home when I return and really need to find this thing...

Thanks

They had a monster fire a long time ago and darn near went belly up. They operate on a pretty shaky schedule sort of holding on. I called them a few years ago using the web site number.

It has to be something to do with the SPAWAR phone connection I guess. I'll see if I can get over to the AT&T phones at some point tomorrow.

Thanks for the update and trying the number.

Thumbs up

Thank you very much. I will try them tonight. Its not a huge hurry I still have a few months left, but as in most thing it is a PITA to get done from here.

By the way how are slips and fees in the Corpus Christy area? I am from San Antonio originally and lived in Rockport for a while as a kid. I spent last Christmas at Pelican Bay as a matter of fact. I am considering retiring down there in about 3 years.

Thanks again Boats

I found two Phone numbers for Rig-Rite
Rig-Rite Inc (J. Kim Houghton, President)
63 Centerville Road, Warwick, RI 02886
Phone: [001] (401) 739-1179
or Phone: [001] (401) 739-1140
Fax: [001] (401) 739-1149
And some E-mails: Info@rigrite.com
or: rigrite@cris.com

Rig-Rite seems to be re-selling Outhaul Cars manufactured by Nicro-Fico.
Nicro Fico
2065 West Avenue 140th
San Leandro, CA 94577
415-357-8332

You might also try substitutions from :
Harken, Schaefer, Merriman, or Garhauer etc

I got through on the phone. It was the SPAWAR phones that wouldnt work. I was hoping to find one comparable to the Catalina Direct one, I am not paying 259 bucks for it though.

None of the big hardware manufacturers carry anything close. I sent an e-mail to price the other cars from Rig Rite.

their e-mail has changed rigrite@sbcglobal.net

and the phone is now: 401-739-1140

Well, rig rite didnt have what I needed and the ones they had were very expensive. Luckily the folks at Catalina Yachts had some still hanging around for a whopping $23. They are trying to get the entire outhaul kit put together for me and send it all at once. This boat had the outhaul listed as an option in 1971, who ever bought it then didnt choose to have it.

Thanks to every one for the help getting it located etc.

Semper Fi!

Re: Rig Rite Contact info?

Sorry to pull a very old thread, but for record keeping purposes, the new e-mail for Rig Rite is - rigrite@gmx.com

I spent some time trying to figure it out, so I thought I'd save others the trouble.

Re: Rig Rite Contact info?

don't waste your time with them, they are useless - I have been trying to buy a furler from them for 10 months. Call day after day, the female in the parts department has a huge bad attitude, tells me every day they will call me back before the end of the day to tell me if they the part available - they never call. Ten months and at least 100 phone calls - this company is a PATHETIC JOKE
