Moonlight Offshore Hatch lid take off

before I start experimenting I'll better ask here:
how to take the lid off a Moonlight Offshore hatch? (have to reseal the acrylic, leaking...)

apparently one just knocks the pin in the hinge out - if there is sufficient room not like on our Elan where the one in question is mounted in a recess that is too small...
didn't discover an adjustment for the friction though...
