I guess this is maybe a silly question but I've just finished ripping off my
teak deck and am having the
deck glassed and awlgrip/nonskid. I was thinking to replace the 30+ year old
aluminum goiot deck fills as the caps are kinda worn. We
live aboard and open and close the deck fills often taking on
water etc. I found at rig rite new
aluminum deck fills similar to the
goiot ones (takes a
winch handle style key) but they want $189 ea! I'm thinking to just go with new stainless or maybe the marlon ones by forspar but as I said I'm concerned with long term use as we
live aboard. Don't really feel like replacing these things too often. Any experiences you can share are greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
