Anyone want to talk chainplates on a allied Seawind 30 ketch? I am thinking my freshwater boat has originals and my 20 year old Son wants to go off shore with it!

They may be fine or they may have crevice corrosion and ready to fail- It only takes one to ruin your day. It normally not a big deal to pull and inspect. I just
replaced one of mine after inspection- (43 yo Tartan41) . Garhauer makes chainplates duplicating the bolt holes etc. Very resonable.
