Quality stainless sink drains

I recently installed all new bronze seacocks and while removing the plumbing to my galley sinks the supposedly quality plastic drains that were only 1 year old broke way too easy. Being as my waterline is just a few inches below the drains it doesn't seem wise for me to be using plastic. Any recommendations for quality stainless 1-1/2" drains?

1/1/2" male thread or even better hose barb.

I did find Stainless drains made for home sinks or bar sinks for one of my boats that had the same issue... waterline just below the drain. The Bar sink drains are small. I cant remember how I adapted them but figured it out.... also check RV places.

Got mine at Home Depot. Had to hunt around for the right PVC adapter to get it to a hose barb but the drains are sturdy and the PVC adapter is heavy duty.

Anybody try these? http://ambassadormarine.com/search.p...1-0308-(series) Odor free? I have seawater in my lines just a few inches from the drains. Would a contraption like this not be a benefit?


Actually after having a second look at it.
If the thing leaked I could be screwed.
Best to KISS and find stainless.

It's Sunday so calling the distributor isn't an option.

My guess: PVC with stainless accents:

I just put two of these in my galley sinks.

The top is stainless, the bottom is plastic with a brass insert for the screw.

You can most likely find the installation instruction sheet online. Try "Ambassador sink drains" for a Google search.

I like 'em.

I'd go for the name brand given the consequences.

Blue crab,
Ambassador and forespar are both name brand.
And forespar uses fiber reinforced marelon plastic.
Problem is that I can't find any information for if forespar uses marelon plastic in their galley drain plastics.

Anyone know?

I sure wish I could find a full stainless drains with either 1-1/2" male threads or 1-1/2 hose barbs.
