Potable Water - et Voila !

Well, almost:

Chemical-Free Technology Turns Sea Water Into Drinking*Water - Home - Staple News

Perhaps those with truly broad broadband can tell me what it says.

Cheers,

Its reverse osmosis with some kind of a twist. They don't say what that is though other than they are touting green, chemical free.

THX!

I always hope someone invents just sorta in-line plain filter that we can rig between a thru-hull and the fresh water tap.

Pity they do not explain more on what the thing is about. Who knows, perhaps the dream watermaker is right round the bend.

It's the same as a cruiser's R/O watermaker...just bigger.

It's just a typical large RO system. Lots of big membranes and big pumps, found all over the world. Every now and then a unknowing reporter learns about RO plants for the first time and makes a big deal about 25 year old technology. Wait till she hears about these new fangled solar panel thingies.
