Head, professional installation cost?

Anyone knows how much it will cost to replace marine toilet and install a holding tank by a professional?

I would say, the boat production date is early '80s' and 33 footer, looking at 15 gal holding tank to add. Location is portside aft of V-berth.

Too many variables... is there a spot for the tank nearby? Where is that spot? You want a $150 toilet or $1000 toilet? Y valve? Will a standard tank fit? or custom?
A WAG might be $1000-$2000 with a cheapish toilet.

I am looking approximate labor cost, excluding parts. Toilet and other parts cost may varies.
A standard tank will fit with not major cabinet work.

The other thing that can be an issue is if the (wood?) base the toilet sits on is solid. Can the nuts or screws be removed? is the base soft and need repaired?
But to basically remove a toilet and put a new one on. Install new hoses, core thru bulkheads for hoses, core thru deck and install a pump out fitting etc.... if the job goes easy maybe 6 hours? Round up and say a day... 8 hours x $80 an hour (or more) $650 labor.
However, if the tank is going under the V berth... the tank should have some support built under it.....

I'd double that labor hours estimate.

With anything yacht related, it always takes twice as long and costs three times as much.

I checked the last 10 we've done.

Manual head install 3-4hr
Electric head install 4-5hr
Holding tank 6hr
All assume moderate carpentry and reasonable plumbing runs

Highest was 16hr where we had to laminate and install a new base

Labor rates vary but these are actual installs by a skilled journeyman

even with all the bits already there and a reasonable fit available, it'd take the better part of the day.

Remove existing head
Install new head
Install holding tank
Drill deck and hull for pump out and breather, fit same. (properly ... takes time to seal the core around the cuts, seal the screw holes, etc.)
Fit all of the piping.

And have a curry and a couple of beers for lunch to test the installation later ;-)

Around here, I think that'd be at about $85-100/hour.

Make sure you measure VERY accurately for that tank. There must be room for the fittings/hoses on the top of the tank as well. Routing for the very thick hoses going from the head and to the pump-out fitting.

I had a head go bad while cruising. Pulled into Friday Harbor. The shipwright there was a great guy, and he told me. I charge 65 an hour for work, but anything to do with poo I charge 120 hour and they gladly give it to me....
I installed my own head...
