Engine Exhaust Construction Metals ?

hello I have a ss pipe from my engine, and i want to connect it via section 2 (see below) to what seems to be a spiral flexible ss section which then connects to the cast iron and rubber exhaust run proper

question is: can section 2 be made of copper? (of which i have some in stores). what are the major galvanic issues, since I have some compound to inject in the correct places!

1.6.2 Materials used in a marine engine exhaust system shall be resistant to saltwater corrosion and exhaust products, and

1.6.2.1 shall be galvanically compatible in accordance with TABLE II.
