They can cost you almost the same as Aerogel for a normal Box but a bigger issue is their propensity for them to fail. Once they fail your R-value goes from 30 to 2...and as they say in Mexico, "aye mucho problemas amigo, no tiene hielo hoy".

R-Parts sells them

I have seen many boats with Vacuum panels ripping them and redoing their boxes after a failure. I just wouldn't trust them personally on my boat.

A square box has the greatest volume to surface area ratio and therefore the greatest thermal efficiency. That needs to be considered along with refrigerator type when designing the insulation values needed.
