Well just a quick update on the great Cruiser Forum love story of Rain Dog and Ocean Girl.

The good news is Brian and I are married!! the bad news is a week after he proposed I was diagnosed with a Brain tumor, BUT it is benign, 90% cure rate, and will not shorten my life, or have any loss of function. I will be back to my sunny Ocean Girl ways in no time.. I will update the blog for anyone who wants the TMI side of the story .

The"real" wedding is still planned for November, Brian just wanted more say in my medical treatment, so we ran to the local courthouse and he made an honest woman of me ( the old brain tumor trick, works every time)

Anyways, Brian is wonderful, and my total hero. He rarely left my side during my 6 days in ICU (total ten days in the hospital) sleeping in a chair at my bedside, getting mre whatever i needed, he is the perfect husband, I am beyond blessed.

Sorry to drop such a bomb, but wanted to explain my absence from all my friends here. Our plans are to still leave in May next year, though we may stick to the Caribbean for a while before moving onto the South Pacific.

Hey if you cut the back off of his boat and your boat and GRP them together. Do you then have a 60ft center console ketch with a canoe stern? It could be a one of a kind and start a trend.

Leave it to me to be unique, I am one of about a hundred known (living ) cases of this particular problem, so my goopy bits are being passed around like show and tell to every pathology nerd in the medical community. I already made my debut the very day of surgery at a (and I quote my surgeon) "weird, what the heck is it" pathology conference at MD Anderson across the street from my Hospital.

I am happy to also inform you that my man had a guys night in Austin last night, hopefully got really toasted, he so deserves it.

Thanks for all the kind words, i feel so blessed and relieved to be on the other side of this mountain.
