Update to a New Forum Software?

Sorry maybe I'm ignorantly approaching a well worn subject and excuse my candor but has any body considered migrating to a new forum software? I don't think I'm alone in suggesting that the software that supports this community is a POS.

There are fantastic community management softwares that would be a MAJOR improvement for everyone on the forum.
