How to view and order old threads and posts...

I have noticed on the main page where it shows the number of threads and posts that when you go to the subject there are no where near as many threads as stated. Am I doing something wrong or are they archived somewhere?
Some subjects say they have hundreds of threads and when you go to them there are only a handful.

for example it says that this subject has 48 threads yet there are only 16 showing.

just figured it out. I have to hit "order from beginning" at the bottom.

Where are you in NZ. Give me a hint. What beer do they serve in the local pub? What are the waves like near you? What colour jerseys does the local footy club wear?
If you are high up in the Southern Alps, forget it.

they serve all sorts these days. Mainly Tui, Lion Brown and speights on tap. We have some big Southerly swells at times on our South Coast and usually 2 to 3 mtr on our west coast. The rugby team wears gold and black. Not in the Southern Alps but on a clear day when I am out sailing I can see the Kaikouras and Alps.
