Perhaps I should have said compulsory till the early 90s, and I think UK was ahead of the rest of Europe in adopting HINs. The point is, it's not the end of the world if your boat doesn't have one.... |

As an extra piece of information, the HIN, if it has one, will be high up on the starboard quarter, usually right under the gunwale, either on the transom itself or adjacent to the transom on the... |

My vessel is registered on the British Small Ships register (SSR) if that is what you mean by registering. You simply fill out the registration document online. It lasts for 5 years and they send you... |

I don't believe HIN numbers were introduced on European boats till the early 90s. My boat, a British built Parker 27 built in 1990 does not have one either, it has a builders plate with the build... |
