I have learnt a good deal via this thread.

I am now considering keeping my orig panel but rebuild it - ie, overhaul it.

I will need to source new dual pole breakers that fit - I was browsing...

Unfortunately as i have learnt in this thread i need to stick with dual pole breakers + I am 230v for AC.

It seems the consensus is the wiring will be fine. A visual inspection of the wiring at the switch panel end and at the end where it connects something will tell all....

As an aside, how would an aluminium hull affect this ? Would the aluminium dissipate the electrical charge from the lightning strike into the surrounding water ?
