So Question:

What are you fasting your toe rail again with?...Those bolts your glassing over don't they do double duty as hull to deck joint fasteners and tow rail fasteners?

Here is an update on the system. The base...

Here is an update on the system.

The base went in fairly straight forward..a little grinding on the Derlin bushings was all that was required to drift the pin....There is zero metal to metal...

Well I spent 50 bucks today on more buffing junk...

Well I spent 50 bucks today on more buffing junk and spent another 45 min trying different things out.

I pretty much gave all the suggestions sofar a go except I have been limited on obtaining...

We mounted the new SS base ( the shoe) to the base of the mast and sucked it up tight using both mast winches... the 1" thick Derlin donut fits pretty snug inside the mast so its pretty...
