Re: Beta Test / Technical

I hope this is the correct place or this comment - and I'm sorry if it isn't.

I am wondering if a separate app that is running simultaneously on the same device that is running OpenCPN, can pass...

Re: Prout Event 34 Blue-water family cat

I'll be in Fiji for another 2 1/2 weeks if anyone wants to see the boat. I can arrange someone to show the boat after I'm gone, but they won't have first-hand knowledge.

I have a Prout Event 34. They fixed some of the issues from the Quest by the time they came out with the Event. I don't mind the drive-leg at all (it's a different one on the Event)... and it's great...

That one in FL was quite unique (the price). Saw it on Sold Boats site for a final price of around 56k. All the rest on that site have been much closer to 100k in the US and Europe and Aussie is even...

Re: Oil or Vinegar? Wood prep in tropics.

Thanks all. We're in Fiji... so no commercial products... no eBay... won't be on the boat for 6 months so no real way to ventilate or dehumidify.

Cheers for the tips anyway.

Oil or Vinegar? Wood prep in tropics.

OK. So this isn't the first time we've left our boat for hurricane season, but it is the first time we'll leave it in a HEAVY rain area.

I've been doing heaps of research from others who have done...

Re: Aussie boat with AIS from the US

If you only have an AIS receiver than you don't really need an MMSI number.

I have a Standard Horizon AIS receiver/VHF combo. The radio wanted an MMSI number because it allows DSC calling, but I...

Thanks heaps for all of the advice. Will check it out and let you know the outcome. It doesn't bother me so much, but I doubt the Admiral would enjoy the jolt.

Re: Shaft seal in a Jabsco manual pump head
