I'm having the same installation problem with Ubuntu 11.04 and OpenCPN 2.5. English version of both. I tried Thomas' file, and didn't get any errors. It said "Installed" at the end, but I can't find...

I agree, but... PFD or no, you decided to take the risks of being out there. Shouldn't that carry the same responsibility? Or should the government decide when (or if) sailing is safe...

I'm using OpenCPN 2.3.1 on a two monitor system (extended desktop) in Windows XP. While other apps "remember" the desktop position where they last opened, OpenCPN does not. Oddly, the Dashboard...
