The smart remote base connects to the yellow connector on the converter. The connections are color coded for a reason. Blue for backbone, white for Spurs and the yellow for SeaTalk. Note the color...

The new autopilot communicates in SeaTalk NG (NMEA2000). The smart controller in SeaTalk1. You will need a E22158 converter to accomplish what you are trying to do.

Yellow and green are probably the clutch. Without them the motor will operate but not move the ram.

The clutch connects and disconnects to allow the boat to be steered manually when the autopilot...

To use an in hull transducer with a cored hull you have to remove the inner hull and remove the coring material so the transducer is in contact with the outer 'skin' of the hull. Only way to do it....

Definitely not possible, what you need is a heading sensor. The Raymarine flux gate is only a part of a heading sensor, it needs the autopilot computer to work.

A 5 way STNG block with a terminator at each end is in essence a small backbone, just add a power insertion cord, a spur to the AIS and a Spir to the chart plotter.
