From my understanding it is only ABYC approved if "solder shall not be the sole means of connection at a terminal". Meaning you must also crimp the terminal.

I believe mbowser is correct in this situation. The subject of penetrating oil got mentioned and the CB Torque stuff is amazing for corroded fasteners. Probably not relevant to this issue.

And to keep confusion down to a minimum I am suggesting not to use the term neutral when referring to DC systems. There is no "neutral" in a DC circuit. On in an AC circuit.
