I have a Spencer 42-2, IMHO it is hard to find a better boat, especially at the price point they can be had for.

You are right, the PT-11 is a very nice craft, however it is 2500.00 for the kit not including epoxy! that is just the wood and hardware!

Call me crazy, but that is a bit much for something that...

I have a friend who has one, and personally I don't like it.

I will frequently need to go from ship to shore with 4 people and a dog, and supplies, and with the porta-bote it would be a two trip...

If you want a really solid sailboat look at the Spencer 42's or 35's they are really solid little ships, I own hull #7 of the 42's, no coring material, solid fiberglass, many have circumnavigated.

The photo is looking aft, the head is located in the 4' forward of the mast and is on the starboard side.

I can already fill this tank in a week by myself. It won't make it past 10 days with out...

I am against the composting heads after having read Glenn Damato's book Breaking Seas and hearing other horror stories of urine making its way into the compost bin making a stanky mess of everything....
