Sure the cable and the antenna make a difference, but the VHF V50 radio does not transmit AIS, the V60-B does.
B&G sells the V3100, SOTDMA CLASS B AIS which has a stronger transmission (5W) 2.5...

If you did a "auto select" and did not find the N2k wind sensor, you probably have to uncheck the option in settings-network-sources
apparent wind. Check if you have two wiind source options, H5000...

In early December B&G starts distributing Vulca7 with radar input as well.
If you have wind, depth and speed data on water from another brand in NMEA 2000 or SeaTalkNG also works.

Simrad does not know which drive of another brand will be installed, I think that is why they recommend the relay.

Hi Chris,
If you talk about the polar curve and use this data to achieve 100% of the perormance of your boat, definitely opt for B & G H5000.
Only b & G instruments have calibration levels for both...

Look for the wind sensor 0183 appears in the device list.
Settings> Advanced> Source (or device list).
You may need to enable wind in 0183.

You will probably use NMEA on your PC.
Most programs for navigation use NMEA.
Connect NMEA OUT + on pin 2 and the NMEA IN + pin 3 and the pin 5 negative NMEA.
