Hello! Well, we sold our house today. We close on Aug 23rd. God made this happen! I guess we are meant to sail!

Hi Erika, thanks for the compliment on my boat. Your Boat is very safe and sound as well. I sail her regularly, but before I go I will replace the rigging and maybe new engine or a rebuild. As for the moon in the morning, I thought it fit because I am currently the Rear Commodore @ The Elkhorn Yacht Club in Moss Landing California, I love the title and will be sad when I give it up for the Vice Commodore position. Is your boat ready to go? Have a great day! Dale

Hi Ocean girl, how are you today? I just read your blog for the first time. I really enjoyed what you have to say. I did not find it boring unless I am boring then I would not know. You seem to have a great attitude towards life and know what you want out of it. I commend you for being yourself. I relate with many of your feelings and especially when you know you could fix something on board but you just don't feel it today. For myself I can find getting burned out lasts as long as you want. It is hard to balance life, work, and living and working on a boat. I would not change a thing as it brings me to much peace. I love it. Well I just wanted to say hello and know you have a friend on the westcoast living the same as you. On a 30 ft boat with the dream to cruise in 2012. Have a great day and remember to smile because we are living a fortunate life.

Thanks. Ever get up to the Chesapeake bay? I spent some time in Corpus back in the late 80s and some time at Ft. Hood...I have never sailed in Texas (other than on a windsurfer), but I liked the area. I remember how flat the coast was at Corpus and how cool it was that the wind blows all the time there.
