I live in NE Florida and no one has indicated that they have an issue with less than 3 years on sailboats using the SW. Just understand that the more scrubbing, the shorter the life.

Oh thanks Mjgill1....I was told the retractable keel becomes a problem when barnacles attach while its deployed, lets say for a few weeks in warm water. I understand you might retract the keel when anchored, but maybe you want it down to stabilize the boat during storms or choppy water. Have you had this problem?
