Hello!
I am in the process to something similar but starting in the Med.
Also buying a 400k new monohull they time in the 50 feet and living aboard and using for charter with me as skipper.
Then planning to get to Asia.
I am consulting how to get a loan on the yacht and not to spend the cash but use the business to evaluate the real feasibility.
It is not if things are difficult or expensive, it is about how to do them and then decide, right?
Have you prepared a business plan?

If you might be interested in a sailboat chart business I know of a good opportunity in central florida gulf coast. Couple has ~2004 Beneteau 50 sailboat worth $150-175k plus a deeded slip in good marina worth $150-200+k plus an up and running daysail charter business generating over $50k annually already on a part-time basis.
They're asking $420k which may be a bit high but it is definitely a nice deal for the right people.
