I dont know how much extra space is there in the cylinder head. I guess there is only one way to find out, and that’s to remove the old one and measure.

Do yiu know by any chance how big is the space in the cylinder head of VP2003 where the coolant temperature monitor/alarm is screwed ?

The original VP is about 30mm x 10mm and I want to put 40mm x 10mm

I was pointed to you as a Volvo expert - do you have by any chance a schematics of the cold start enrichment system of Volvo Penta 2003 (cold start mechanism located in the control box on the right hand side of the engine which can increasing the amount of fuel supplied by the pumps and normally controlled by the governor
