Family Circumnavigation - 2011 East coast/Caribbean departure

For those sailors with children that are planning a sailing cruise and will find themselves on the East coast of the USA and/or in the Caribbean in mid to late 2011 and into 2012. Or somewhere around the world along the way.

Our family, the Leonard Family, is planning a 3 year circumnavigation beginning in the summer of 2011. At the time of departure, we will have three boys with us, ages 5, 9 and 11.

The goal of this group is to start to build a community of families with similar plans, who are interested is running into each other along the way. (Hopefully not literally.)

This is the group for realists...people who know they cannot afford to give up work in the foreseeable future. But it doesnt stop us from dreaming about the lifestyle, and talking to others about it.

Therefore Crew Guests also subscribe to The Ethos by meeting the expense of their time aboard, not simply for immediate consumables (food, drink etc) but also towards the boat running costs.
