Kitten Overboard !

Marina neighbors of mine have a 12 week old Siamese kitten. Sweet little thing, but she decide to see what that blue stuff was on the other side of the deck.

They got her out so easily it was worth repeating. They simply grabbed a swim noodle and pointed it down in the water by her. She climbed up the noodle and back onto the boat.

They did give her a bath in the marina's laundry sink. She would have poisoned herself with too much salt cleaning her fur.

I'm going to make something similar with two noodles, on a board, for my cats. I'll first use it in the cabin and let them climb on it so I'm sure they'll recognize what it's for should they go over.

Re: Kitten overboard!

We used to drape a piece of carpet over the side tied to a cleat.... One of the cats actually LIKED to go in the water and used the carpet almost daily
