The bear is ok. Even the Panda is remote threat. Watch for their proxies. Persian Peacock and the big fat boy of the North.

Re: Prepper Boat Thread

Even though I'm not religious I think the good Book is right:

If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus with no more than human hopes, what have I gained? If the dead are not raised, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die." (1 Corinthians 15:32)

However, I don restrict myself to eating and drinking but also do other things the good Book considers commencing a range of sins ...

sounds similar to my celtic ancestry on the day before battle. " eat hearty lads for tommorrow we die."
The other stuff you refer to was considered your duty to the clan.

Insulation is the low hanging fruit and more valuable over the long haul, reduces the amount of heating fuel you need to acquire. For a survivalist boat, I would go for solid fuel, easier to acquire generally and any available liquid fuel is probably better used to motivate the mothership.

I would set up a significant solar still on the cabin top. There are plenty times the ambient water is not suitable for RO, would damage the membrane. And you never know where you will wind up when society as you know it goes kaput. For that mater you probably want to have 60l per person tankage in multiple tanks.

Then according to Jewish law you are a fully fledged Jew of birth. Jewishness is passed down paternally. Your fathers background has no impact. Other than if I'm not wrong it was your father and his family that had you raised Catholic.

My own Jewish background has influenced me to be allways prepared. It is instinctive and almost genetical given the millenia of persection as a people.

Being a Girl Scout also taught me not only bush craft such as animal tracking, snaring and wilderness survival (no we didn't just sit around making cookies where I came from). But it also ingrained the Scout motto in me. Be Prepared.
