There is, but I'll let someone else post it. I've been getting too many posts deleted lately.

Re: Dishwashers aboard

Hi,
We have a dishwasher, but only because we bought our boat after it was kitted out. We spent our first summer cruising last year, an I never considered using it. I am a girl who likes her conveniences, but for all the reasons stated by others, don't feel deprived by hand washing at all.
I can't recall the draw, but know it's material.
One othe thought- it takes up precious galley space. For this reason, we use our dw as storage for unopened breads, chips...
I hope this helps...

Re: Dishwashers aboard

We shanghaied a homeless guy and once we got out of sight of land, he settled in and washed the dishes just fine. We only use fresh water for the final rinse, a cup or two at the most, and we let the homeless guy wash up once a month or when ever there is a rain squall.
