CNG Where in New England

Any hidden places to find CNG in Connecticut or Rhode Island? I've called every gas supplier Siri knows :-)

Currently in Block heading to Newport then back to Mystic Area.

Thanks GordMay! Found that as well, even downloaded the app :-) they were not answering calls over the weekend. Will try the Bridgeport location this week.

Was hoping to find info on a marina or similar that does this rather than rent a car et al.

I traded in my tank at the Providence Corp Bros location a couple of years ago, but I have no more recent info. These are listed on the Corp Brothers site:

Corp Borthers' headquaters in Providence would be the cheapest as they are wholesalers and everyone else buys from them. Not sure how far away they are from the nearest marina. Their other location in Hyannis (near a marina) would be the 2nd cheapest. All others add shipping costs making refills significantly more costly, like $20-30 per cylinder. Last time I bought from them directly I paid I think $39+tx for 27# cyl and $49+tx for 36#.

Call Corp people ahead as sometimes even they run out of cylinders.

Frank Hall Boat Yard on the Pawcatck River, just north of Watch Hill, has several cylinders in stock for exchange.

I had a Hunter Legend 35.5 with a beautiful CNG stove. Worked great. Loved it. But getting CNG tanks (or filling them) in Canada was almost impossible. I owned 2 tanks, and had to have them retrofitted to canadian standards before they could be filled. And the closest place to fill them was 300km away. Vehicle NG stations (in canada at least) are not allowed to refill tanks...only vehicles.

Fortunately, it had a microwave oven as well.

In hindsight, I would have been better off to replace the stove. Sad but true.

I have had several, and am a big fan of the Origo (aka cookmate) alcohol stove/oven.

Oldport Marine Services in Newport exchanges bottles. Very convenient! (The guys who run the launches, they monitor 68)
