Hi cruisers! Last year I posted some questions about sailboats, sailing in general, etc., and I am happy to say I am now a very happy
boat owner, and as per recently, also a
liveaboard. So, I am also experiencing some of the realities of that, including
cooking on an
Origo 3000 alcohol stove! It's actually very fine, apart from the odour alcohol gives off. However, living in
Denmark, I was quite shocked to find a liter of ethanol costing 60 crowns, or about 8 euros! After some searching, I found a site where I can bulk order bioethanol that's
sold for fancy no-wood fireplaces (?!), for more than half the
price. My question is, is there any reason why such bioethanol wouldn't
work in the
stove? The product description says it is 96.6% pure ethanol. Thanks in advance!!
