Hello-Brand new to this forum and sailing. Recently retired from farming, oil patch and long haul trucking. Looking to sail the Mexican coast and having some great experiences. Live Alberta, Canada. Land locked big time.

Re: southbound51

Welcome to the forum from a fellow Albertan. We are from spruce grove, and are actually home for covid season.
It looks like you are quite a bit south of us, so I dont know what sailing options you have close. My best recomendation is to just get sailing any way you can. Lake sailing if you have someplace close, or do a live and learn for a week. On a live aboard around Vancouver, or tropical once travel is allowed again.
In Vancouver we used coopers boating and can highly recomend them.
Good luck, and fair weather
