Searching for former boat

My wife, son and I built a Creekmore 34 in Lee's yard in Medley, Florida. We launched her in 1981, sailed the islands and sold her to a young couple living in Marathon, FL.

Her name was Ramblin' Lady and if anyone knows of what happened to her after the sale please get in touch. My email is: owlsandvols@gmail.com

Interestingly I just searched for my boat using those links. I'd purchased it in July, and finally got the CG paperwork back this week. So I was very surprised to see it still listed under the old name and owner! How often do they update the data used by the search engine? Is it normal to have a long delay? The paperwork is dated Dec 1st, so it should be good, right?

That sounds right. The main thing is to engrave the number on one of your bulkheads or cross beams.

I can't believe it but we never wrote our number down, just engraved it It's not even in our log book. Dumb!

Also, if you're going into Cat Cay to clear customs make sure you have a gun locker that can be locked.

I got lost somewhere? What does a lockable gun locker have to do with searching for an old boat?

The boat was already CG documented, so it was effectively a change of name and ownership, kept the existing number which is already on a non-removable nameplate in the engine room.

Strange that, in this day in age, they cannot get their website in sync with the master database. After more than two weeks.. Our tax dollars and registration fees hard at work... ;-)

Found another site that has up-to-date info:
https://cgmix.uscg.mil/PSIX/PSIXSearch.aspx

My boat is correctly listed here.
