New to sailing

Hi everyone, my name is Yaron. I currently live in Switzerland, so sailing in the open sea is a bit of a challenge.
I've wanted for years now to sail, and finally I feel that the time is right. My goal is to eventually travel around the world in my own boat. I'm considering some RYA courses in Gibraltar now. Towards the end of the year I will also go to Australia for 6 months, and I'm looking forward to sailing there as well!

I would very much like to learn from your experience and perhaps meet some cruisers along the way.

Re: New to sailing

Welcome to the forum. I hear the sailing in Australia is far superior than that of Switzerland. The skiing there kinda sucks, however.

Re: New to sailing

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Switzerland is a beautiful country and I did see sailboats on a lake there back in the '70s. No open seas to be sure.
Good luck in your sailing pursuits.
kind regards,
