New to Forum - Ken and Christie aboard Mosey - home built steel trawler

Our desire is to exchange information concerning cruising and boats in general, and hopefully, make new friends during the process. We are on the Sassafras River and live aboard most of the year. My job is keeping us here for the winters right now, but hopefully, very soon that will change and we can become full-time liveaboards. We plan to continuing spending summers in the north and winters in the south.

Over the past 7 years, I have built this steel trawler. A while back, I met Christie and we got married last year. She is a wonderful cruising partner and has had great influence in the boat's interior.

The boat's name is Mosey and it really is an entity. We will be exploring the lower Chesapeake this summer and hope to gain insite from others as far as the places we should not miss.

Ken and Christie

Welcome to CF. We have a few Bay folks here. I'm down at the fat end. Cruisers Forum includes a lot of things and most of them center around boats and the things that go with them.

There is a lot to enjoy here and i hope you can find things that are of interest.

Welcome aboard Ken & Christie

Would love to see some photos of your boat and it's construction.

Jump right in plenty of knowledgeable cruisers here and a few characters too!

Cheers!

Hi Ken and Hello Christie

Welcome, I took a look at your blogspot, it looks and sounds like you guys are having a good time. I like Christie's enthusiasm for fishing.

Thanks for the weather report!!! We hope to be spending our winters in tropical locations VERY soon!

Have you set a date for your marriage? We got married last July and could not be more happy.

Thanks for the message Paul. Yes -- Christie loves fishing and has provided us dinner on many occasions.

Aloha Ken and Christie,
Welcome aboard!! Good to have you here. I'm anxious to get underway but have not been making much progress lately on the big boat.
Looks like you are well underway to having a great experience.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

Yep -- once we installed that swing on the aft deck, our progress on that boat has definitely slowed.

I will post some pictures of the boat and it's construction once I figure out how to upload to this site. It has been a 7 year project -- so far....!!!
