Re: mike deason

Last I checked there were over 20,000 people of CF willing to help...

What's the problem?

PS - Welcome aboard.

I can teach you how to get all tangled up hoisting the jib, and how to pin ball the boat off the piles while docking. Other than that....your outta luck!

Welcome to CF Mike

Lots of folks can do both of those, me included. Perhaps you have a special method which is much more hilarious to the onlookers, they are always there of course, than my normally spectacular failures. I am always ready to learn new methods in these forgotten and much overlooked skills.

Welcome aboard.
What kind of issues ? Would not hesitate to suggest ideas I just wanted to try but have not yet tried, to see if they worked !
OK, seriously, you'll probably find answers here to most issues, just name them.

Re: mike deason

Hi, in March I bought a 25' 7.5 Tanzer on a double axle trailer. As I have never owned a sailboat I got to thinking real hard about why the guy gave me a 30' heavy duty strap with the boat. I think now I know. A sailboat launch is not like a powerboat launch which is what I am use too. You just do not back them down the ramp and into the water! Right? It seems as if I am going to have to have an extension for the trailer in order to launch this thing myself and also hope the ramp is long enough! Or hook this strap to the trailer and let it roll into the water as I saw on Youtube. Icould use some input. Thanks, Mike Deason
