Hi everybody!

Ok, where I start??? Let's try to make it short, or at least not too long...
In 2000 I left the Air Force and bought a Trinidad 48, was not our first boat, especially my wife she started sailing many years before she met me, but before we used to sail just during holidays, and with my wife we started to do year around charter (summer in the Med and winter in the Caribbean). After 5yrs we found out that to work with your own boat was not really economically a good idea, so we sold the boat and jumped at an opportunity and started to work on board other people yachts, and we climb the ladder up to me be the Captain of a 120' yacht and my wife the Chef. The life was good but we really missed something...the possibility to go where you liked to go and not where the guest wanted to go, for example, and so on...
In 2010 for other reason we decided to stop working on the yachting industry and we moved to Cape Town, South Africa, where she opened a small Italian restaurant and I went back to my first love, aviation.
In 2015 we moved to Botswana, lovely Country but unfortunately landlocked, were I started to work as pilot.
Now we are starting to think what to do in few years time (we are 55yrs old) and we are thinking very seriously to go back to our gipsy floating life, found a 40ish sail boat and move full time on board, to go...we don't know where, is too early, but I believe that the first seed is planted and now we will see if it will bring something...maybe also with the help of this forum!
Ciao
Aldo

Wow what a life you two have led so far. I hope that getting back to sailing brings many more adventures!
