I thought I'd take a minute in introduce myself.
I actually found this board while doing
research on the Nor'West 33 I recently bought, as a discussion had come up about it and there were very limited returns from an
internet search.
I'd been out sailing a couple times throughout my life, and absolutely loved it, but didn't really get into it until a year and a half ago when I bought the
Columbia 28. Then I turned into a lunatic, (my wife was worried
) taking it out over 60 times and at least 700nm in
SF Bay Area. It was a great escape from all the covid-fires-political madness over the last year!
Feeling a little like the dog that caught the car with the Nor'West, as it sat 5 slips down from my
Columbia at Napa Valley Marina for months during which I told the harbormaster, "Will you please sell that damn thing so I can stop looking at it!" Kinda obvious what happened.....
Will probably be hauling it out for a bottom job/seacock
repair in the next couple of months, only half a year after completing the bottom on the Columbia which I'll sell eventually.
Dream is eventually to
cruise at least to the central Pacific, where I lived for a year longer ago than I'd like to admit.
I do a lot of my sailing singlehanded, but if anybody in the area would ever want to tag along or have me along on your
boat, I'd love to.
