Hello from Cape Coral

Hello all
I've been in the Cape a bit over a year now. I use to have a 26' Macgregor C swing keel back in Nebraska when I was younger. Nebraska sailing, you don't worry about depth till they drain the reservoir for irrigation, and the wind is very shifty and sometimes strong.

Anyway down here I am in a boat club for now, I have to test out to get the sailboats. At some point I'd love to go out with someone to refresh a bit before I take the test. What I've found with power boats here is dang that pine island sound is shallow in a lot of places.

What I really want is to own my own boat, but slips around here are expensive and sailboat ones are rare.

Perhaps a partnership..
Anyway I'm here to learn the ins and outs of coastal sailing and hopefully make a few friends.

Re: Hello from Cape Coral

Welcome to CruisersForum!

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.
