Hello all

My wife and I have been planning for 3 years to moving to coastal North Carolina to fulfill our love and passion for the ocean and the beach. Only recently we have come to fall in love with the idea of being a liveaboard in a sailboat. Neither of us have much experience in the boating/sailing world and are looking for opportunities to come aboard and find out as much as possible over this next year before we hope to make a first purchase. We have an upcoming vacation scheduled for September 3rd through the 9th in the Outer Banks and would like to maximize our time there by making contacts now in hopes of meeting and getting on as many boats during our time there later this year. If this is something that you may be interested in or know of others who are please drop me a line and we will see what arrangements we are able to work out together. We look forward to hearing from and meeting many of you over the years to come.

Re: Hello all

Welcome - take sailing lessons. Where in NC? Southport and Beaufort are really nice.

Thanks. We will certainly get some sailing lessons under our belt over the next year before our transition... We are looking into the Wilmington area of NC.

Re: Hello all

Good area - lots to do. I used to live in Raleigh and we'd visit that region a lot.
