Hello

Hello
New on this forum

I'm french and my english not so good

We have an ELAN Impression 434 ince january 2017, we just have crossed the Atlantic with my wife from Canaries this winter 2019 and from St Martin to Azores some days ago (may 2020).
We are waiting for the good weather as we hope to continue towards France in the coming weeks.

Re: Hello

How did the Elan cope during these long trips in the atlantic? Any problems? Any bad weather? Was the boat comfortable? Thanks

Re: Hello

We have rough condition betwin Canarias and Guadeloupe in december, the boat was very confortable.
It is simply necessary to adapt the sails to the weather conditions.

No technical problem except on the Thruster, (a short circuit without bad consequences)
We lost our genoa in a bad Gybe but our Elan has no responsability on that, only a 40 knts wind...
We are very happy to have this boat, she has very good feeling about sea, fast enough, 6 to 8,5 nts with 15 to 25 knts of wind.
19 days to go from El Hierro in Canaria island to Guadeloupe, 7 knts average speed

17 days to go from St Martin to Azores (Horta), 6 knts average

The construction quality is very good way ahead of Beneteau, Jeanneau or others big brands.
