Hi, I'm Nic from the UK, I have just joined the forum as my partner and I are making serious plans for our future. We are shortly embarking on some sailing courses and we shall take things from their. Sell everything, find a boat and take each day as it comes. I am a time served engineer with a family history of the sea so I like to think its in the blood. I might be tapping into the wealth of knowledge over the coming months on here, I hope my questions will not be too silly and hopefully I will be able to help others one day.

Not everyone on this forum currently owns a boat. Some are former owners, some are still looking, some are building, some are landlocked, some are learning, and some have a few years to go before they buy a boat. They are all welcome, because we all share an interest in cruising and sailing.
