Greetings from A Wanderer :)

Hello everyone,

My friends call me Rams and I might be the youngest and less experienced among you all. I was born and raised in the middle east living in dubai, United Arab Emirates and lived by the water most of my life. My obsession with sailing and the love for the sea is something I shared with my deceased father.

My father sailed all over whenever he had the chance and I've learned all the basics from him, but never got the chance to learn more. I hope I will get the chance to learn from all of you since I am ambitious and have an addiction to learning new things and observing other people's experiences.

I do not own my "baby" yet. However, I will be buying my first owned catamaran by August this year. I have sold my businesses and have saved enough money to invest in my dream

I am a big fan of catamarans and love the comfort, loving the idea of a floating home that can go with me into extreme situations and offer me refuge from the never ending surprises of our beautiful oceans. That is what I call a real home

I will be backpacking around Asia starting from 1st of February and searching for my dream yacht along the coasts of south east Asia and planning to get certified in Thailand

I lack a lot of experience in life, and all my skills are best in business and making money. I hope I get the chance to learn more about sailing from all of you and I maybe one day I can be able to share my own experiences with you

I know I typed a lot, comes with being young and excited ha ha, my backpacking trip is just a few weeks away and my dream yacht is almost in my reach, so you can't really blame me

Regards,

Soon to be "Captain" Rams

P.S. I might not have experiences like many of you would have, but I have ambition and skills that I can share instead

Thank you guys for the warm welcome I appreciate it.

@boatman61 ha ha I am guessing as much. There is a lot of trouble awaiting me while in the path of finding my "dream boat". I didn't want to be specific about a certain make or model since, I yet don't know what I exactly really want or in other words don't know if what I want can be manageable by me alone.

I also realize from reading through the forums, that even after obtaining the best of yachts, many troubles and confusions will occur. But I am psychologically and physically getting my self ready for taking all new experiences head on

My lack of knowledge in makes and models makes it even worse ha ha. I have a long way to learn many things about catamarans.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Your plan sounds very adventurous. You'll be doing exactly what I always do via the internet. Search for boats.
kind regards,
