Ex-Naval Officer / LTjg USN ret. / Teacher

I stumbled across this forum because of a thread that I plan to post to directly after this. http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ist-37982.html

I am a retired Naval Officer who is planning to do a teaching internship next month as the final requirement for a Master's degree. I also plan to live aboard a sailboat within the next few years. I am currently helping my kids through their teenage years and high school.

My experience is with massive ships. I have been to sea for months at a time, but never on a small boat, such as the one I plan to live aboard. Regardless, I miss the sea. I wish to flow at the speed of the universe.

I am a fixer of whatever needs fixing. I feel my skills and abilities will be compatible with sailing.

John

I am ASSuming you mean the East coast when you say 'worst coast'? I will be and would love to trade skills for skills, but I have an internship in the fall for a few months and then I plan, and hope, to go to a Vocational sailing school at the beginning of the year.

Thank you for the welcome and the offer.

i actually mean the kali coast--land of no barrier islands and true lee shore. i will be sailing a long time, with many legs of trip, so is open for a while. i am aiming at panama and caribean and gulf coast, then onward again.
