pirate *Enthusiastic Wave*

Hello CF!

I just dug through my private messages and was told this is the best place to introduce myself.

New member who joined yesterday, I am from Long Island, NY. My sailing experience has been very limited to this point, but my love for water and boats is rooted back to my childhood.

I've sailed some small boats with family on lakes, and I am a licensed PADI scuba diver. I'm here to learn, connect with fellow boating enthusiasts, and ultimately would like to cruise full time.

Before I knew there was a place to do a formal introduction I made a post here, about getting married and setting off on a 5 year long adventure around the world.

Any feedback or insights appreciated! Look forward to getting to know the regulars here, and visa versa.

Welcome to CF - though I am from Down Under so not close to meet and greet but enjoy the forum they are a great bunch of enthusiasts with an enormous amount of knowledge. Enjoy your journey I moved from dinghy sailing to living onboard and have cruised 95,000nms or there abouts in 22 years of the cruising life.

Cheers Sue

Re: *Enthusiastic Wave*

Hello, 2B1S,

Ya know, that's a difficult name to relate to, sorta like R2E2. My name is Ann, I have lived on our boats and cruised with Jim for a very long time. My profile tells about our sailing together. Sapient Sue and her husband and Jim and I have been friends for quite a while now, the cruising community is like that. It is lovely to have young people coming along into our world.

Welcome aboard CF.

Ann

Re: *Enthusiastic Wave*

Welcome here!

We lived on the north shore of Long Is - Port Jefferson area. My husband was born in Mt. Sinai. I learned to sail in Mt. Sinai harbor and kept our first boat in Greenport. There's some great sailing in spring and summer.

There's lots of knowledge and lots of opinions here - have fun sorting out which is which!
