Hello Sue, I was asking questions about doing a trip from NZ to French Polynesia and someone mentioned that you may have done this trip; if so would it be possible to get some advice? Thanks Roy
  3. Cherp it turns out, I will be in Sydney overnight Monday. Four of us will bring a Swan 38 back to Hobart. Weather looks OK too....well, the wind does. It will be cold and the Swan doesn't have a dodger. Bbbrrrrrr....

Yes. I don't recall seeing a Naut 40 for sale before. They have a great reputation. My word those Bukh engines last a while...11000 hours and 22000. Mind you you would have expected a rebuilt one to do likewise. And they seem to be quite expensive compared to other makes. I think engines in general are sent to test people who are not mechanics.

I have lived aboard for 21 years with my husband and soulmate Mike. We have sailed over 95,000nms since we started our cruising life style. We dinghy sailed as teenagers and knew it would be our lifestyle for the long term. As long as we are fit enough we will keep exploring and sailing.
