Ealu - New on Board

Hi, I am relatively new to sailing and brand spanking new to forums.
I had a small dinghy (17' Arrow) several years ago but sold it because it wasn't exactly family friendly. When I retired three years ago, my wife said, "hey, we should buy you a boat". We did, we bought a 26' mirage and we have spent the past couple of years learning to sail it. Due to limitations, both ours and the boat's, we basically just sail out and back in Lake Huron.
I've taken a few Power Squadron courses and they have been very helpful, especially the SAIL course.
We are now looking into buying a bigger boat (footitis?). A 33' Hunter Cherubini. We have found one we like and are going to look at it soon.
Our plan is to take a trip up to the North Channel next year so we will have lots of questions and lots to learn.

Be very careful not to fall in love with that boat before you've had it surveyed!!!

The head alone is a powerful love potion!
