Chasing Dreams Again

Don't know what I'm doing here but I have been online for quite sometime trying to find something about entry level work on a sailboat with no success and finally was able to get here.

It's always been a dream of mine to sail but never had the time til' now. I made sure I raised my daughter and got her through College and in May she is going to graduate. After that I would like to pursue not just learning how to sail but take on adventures of a lifetime. How does one with no experience, almost no money but all the ambition in the world get started in finding his dream once again?

I say go for it. One step at a time but always in the right direction!

One good way is to join a sailing club and go dinghy sailing. When you are fine with a small dinghy then you will chose what suits you best.

If you can find a local sailing or yacht club that offers basic sailing courses start there.

1st... where are you.. on/near the coast... the Mohave Desert.. then maybe we can point you to clubs/ASA Schools/friendly members etc...
