How about just regulating what a private corp. is required to present to its shareholders by proxy ballot?

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/exclus...213414232.html

The SEC proposal would "force Exxon to outline specific risks that climate change or legislation designed to curb it could pose to its ability to operate profitably." The NY State Comptroller claimed the proposal a "major victory" for shareholders. The shareholders are reportedly unlikely to approve, of course, but it will undoubtedly help this and other politicians gain a "major victory" at their next election.

Um, unless you're a climate scientist yourself, you're believing somebody in the field... whether it's the conclusions of the majority as formalized in the IPCC, or a cherry-picked handful of dissenting views, or some other subset.

In all cases... scientists. Let them work.

Sorry. I just love hearing grown educated men allude to government conspiracies around AGW.

++++1,000,000

I really haven't taken a stance on this, one way or the other. Not being a coward, but haven't decided. It "won't matter to ME in 20 years cuz I'll be dead." But agree with your sentiment there .....
